October Meeting Announcement!

Presenter: Timothy Kroecker, Ph.D - Cambria Consulting

Greetings!

Please join us Wednesday, October 24th for what promises to be a very interesting chapter meeting. The meeting will be held at Hall's Guest House in Fort Wayne, Networking begins at 5:30 PM, dinner is served at 6:00 and the presentation begins at 7:00

Dr. Kroecker's (pronounced, Croak-er) is a Psychologist specializing in assessment and evaluation, and in technology-enhanced development solutions. He is a partner with Cambria Consulting practice and is co-lead of Cambria's survey efforts.
Dr. Kroecker's presentation is entitled, "From Managing Projects to Leading Programs: Defining and Building Program Leaders." His presentation asserts that most projects and programs fail due to a lack of communications and a lack of interpersonal skills, rather than a lack of technical skills. Further, he states that effective management can only be grown from within the company, usually coming up through the Project Management ranks.
His presentation will discuss leadership competencies, and the Program Manager success profile, and then discusses the transition needed to move from Project Manager to Program Manager.

Each October the bylaws require that nominations be opened for expiring board positions. The responsibilities and duties of these positions, as well as the nomination procedure will be posted on our chapter website very shortly. Please consider helping us to make this a thriving PMI chapter by participating in the Board of Directors.
