It's been my pleasure and honor serving as your chapter president in 2007 at the conclusion of our 10th anniversary year. I have seen things happen in our chapter during my tenure that are excellent. Our chapter has much to offer our members. Our dinner meetings are a bargain at $10 and you can't beat free when you bring a guest. It's nice that our chapter is in a position to be able to make up the difference in the actual cost to the chapter. Our dinner meeting speakers are diverse and interesting. We have one of the best online PMP study courses that are offered anywhere. There are absolutely none as inexpensive as ours. The personalized attention that is available in our online class is unparalleled. We have stepped up and offered local Personal Development sessions to earn more PDU credits to our PMP's. We started the David Arthur Maynard scholarship fund last year for a deserving college student. We started giving door prizes at our meetings and now have logo item give-a-ways for our chapter. We now advertise on our local events websites. We had a booth at the Lean Six Sigma Showcase at the GrandWayneCenter this past year to promote our chapter. We put a chapter handbook together and created a new organizational structure for our Board of Directors that includes not only the VP Positions but also Director Positions. We've come a long way in our 10 years as a PMI Chapter and I'm proud to have been President for several of those years. |

Happy New Year from the 2007 and 2008 NEIC PMI Board of Directors! 2008 marks the 11th year for our chapter, and as part of the incoming Board of Directors I am confident that the momentum started under Paula's guidance and the combined enthusiasm and creativity of the returning as well as the new board members will continue into our new year. So many ideas for new things to try, meeting programs, community involvement, outreach!! But it's not just about us - this is YOUR chapter! We want to hear YOUR ideas too, so please share and help make 2008 the best it can be. It is an honor and privilege for me to serve as President of this chapter. I look forward to serving you. |
